Stupid cow – 24th October 1997

Friday 24th P. [Period.]

I didn’t go into school today. I sort of made myself sound worse than I actually was. I knew I would get stomach cramps and I was a bit worried about being sick again so I told Mum I had a sore throat. It wasn’t a complete lie coz it was sore and dry when I woke up. Anyway, Poppy wasn’t in so it got me out of sitting on my own in P.S.E. too! I feel a bit guilty now.

I have missed out on going to the cinema coz all my friends went with Ed this evening. I phoned Emma to see if I’d missed much and I asked what was going on about the cinema (you know, with Dougie and Freddie) and she told me she was going in a few minutes to see Volcano. I asked if they were going and she said no and told me that it was all our friends and Ed.

Well, it was nice of her to ask me. NOT!!! Stupid cow. I really hate her sometimes. If I hadn’t have phoned her, I wouldn’t have known about it and, even when she told me, she didn’t bloody well bother to ask if I wanted to come.

October 1997 - Cow

So, after that I phoned Hayley to see what she had to say about it. First I asked her what was going on with Dougie etc. just to get onto the subject. Then she told me that they were going tonight and asked me if I wanted to come and said she felt guilty coz I wasn’t. I said I did want to come which made her feel even worse then I felt a bit snidey! She said I’d have to phone Emma about it coz Hayley wasn’t really organising it.

At least she’s got a conscience, unlike Thornley! [Emma’s surname.] If she was organising it, she should have checked at least if I was well enough to come. I thought I was a mate.

That’s gonna be the excuse, innit, if I ask the cow why she didn’t ask me. “I thought you were ill.” She makes me so angry sometimes!!!

BYE!!! [Extra angry, hormone-infused BYE.]

I looked yellow – 24th & 25th September 1997

Wednesday 24th P. [Period.]

It was good in Geography today. Lizzie and I were just talking to Neil and Dougie a lot. I hardly ever used to talk to him but I seem to more now.

P.S. Before I forget, MUFC and Chelsea 2-2. Own goal from Henning Berg + Mark Hughes for CFC and Scholes + Solskjaer for MUFC.

[Probably C.W.]

Thursday 25th I came home from school today early because I was ill. Abby’s had it too for the last couple of days. It was 5 minutes before the end of Art and I had really bad stomach cramps and went really dizzy and shaky. The bell went and I made it to the toilets coz I thought I might be sick but I wasn’t. I looked in the mirror and I was so pale!

I went outside coz it was last break and I saw Emma. She told me I looked yellow [It’s those Simpson genes.] so she came to the office with me. They phoned Mum and commented on how ill I looked. I had to sit in the corridor with another ill Year 7. Mum came eventually. I threw up once when I got home. [Nice. So pleased I have that on record forevermore.]

He is nice. Really, REALLY nice! – 24th-31st July 1997

July 1997 - Fit list

Thursday 24th I spent most of today at Grandma S’s but this evening my cousin Rhian came with ther dad down to stay for a bit. She’ll go back up to Caithness with us when we go.

Bye!

Saturday 26th We’ve not really done much today but I dumped Chris B on the computer. I emailed him and said it was pointless!

We were on it a bit today and I’ve been talking to another Chris in Lincolnshire.

Rhian, Abby and I have been making loads of cards this evening. They’re dead good we think and we’re gonna try and sell them in Caithness.

Bye!

Sunday 27th Rhian, Abby and I went to see The Lost World at the cinema. It was nowhere near as good as Jurassic Park.

On the way home, we saw 3 people riding their bikes. The last one was Dougie’s middle sister and I turned round and Dougie and his mum were with her too!

Tuesday 29th We went to WaterWorld today. Hayley was going to come but she couldn’t coz it’s her period.

It was a long journey [An hour and a half at the most. I’m not sure that even warrants the use of ‘journey’.] but it was dead good when we got there. There were all sorts of flumes and stuff and there was a wave machine.

I’ve been packing all afternoon ready to go to Caithness so I’d better get on with it and pack this diary. [Quite a risk to take it when I was going to be surrounded by little cousins.]

Wednesday 30th I’m in the Atholl Palace Hotel now. Rhian, Abby and I are in a room of our own and Mum, Dad and the dog are in another. We have just travelled from 11:30am to about 5:00pm to Pitlochry where we are stopping overnight. [THAT counts as a journey.]

There is this gorgeous boy in the hotel. I’ve only seen him from a distance but I can just tell. [I’d developed a bat-like ability to detect fit boy prey that I couldn’t even see clearly.]

Thursday 31st Our journey has ended and we’re in Wick now at Auntie S’s house.

I saw that boy this morning in the hotel at breakfast. He is nice. Really, REALLY nice! He has blonde hair and a good tan. I was going out of the dining room and I glanced up at him and he was staring at me! […In disbelief at my head-to-toe sportswear in the dining room of a nice hotel, perhaps.] There is no “I’m sure” coz he definitely was!

I could hear music (pop) coming from across the road to Auntie S’s where this lad Alex used to live. He’s moved to Shetland now but his dad’s still there coz he can’t get a transfer so I thought Alex might be visiting.
