He said he wants to go out with me – 11th July 1997

Friday 11th We did karaoke in Music today and Robert Osborne sang. [I was pretending I didn’t fancy him but I totally did.] He can sing but he wasn’t on his own and it sounded awful.

This evening, Abby was talking to Jake on the internet for ages again so I grabbed my chance at 7pm and went online. [This may well be all I write about in my diary for the rest of eternity. Well, the eternity that is being a teen. Internet conversations were far more interesting than real ones.]

I was in a room and asked how old + male/female. Pete18 came up and said 15/m so I thought, “Ooh, cool” and I put 14/f. He came on to talk to me privately and when I asked him where he was he started pissing about and saying “here”. I then said, “Well, talked sense or I’m going”. I think it worked.

I found out that:

he’s called Pete
he’s really 14 born in 1982 (same year as me)
he has lots of friends
he’s going to Alton Towers this weekend
he either lives in Carlisle or Stoke (he said both)
he says he’s smallish, cute with blonde hair

He said he wants to go out with me and he’ll send me a photo if I do. He says he’ll email me too.

Bye!

P.S. Dougie [Yay! A real life boy!] was stood outside our form room and as I walked past I looked him in the eye. Neither of us smiled but I did afterwards and Freda (who was behind me) said he smiled too. She thinks he likes me. I hope so! I think.
